The new 8 episode show of Bridgerton by Shonda Rhimes has everyone hooked. Bridgerton is unlike any other period drama you would come across; it revolves around the story of Daphne Brigerton who has recently came out into the society and is deemed to be the most desirable girl for the season by the queen herself. When the star isn’t getting the attention, she wanted from her suitors, she stirs up a fake romance with the Duke of Hastings. However, both Daphne and Simon start falling for each other but want completely different things in life, which is the main conflict of the show. Although we see quite a happy and content ending for season 1, the question on everyone’s lips is, of course, is there another season?
Although Netflix has not announced anything yet, there are some rumors going around. Firstly, it’s been a huge hit ever since the release and we all know Netflix follows up with new seasons whenever that happens. Secondly, a recent listing showed that the season will start filming in Uxbridge, England in March 2021. We will have to wait and see whether that schedule is maintained or not due to the global pandemic, but most of us have our fingers crossed!
The Brigerton Cast Wants to Film More !
Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington (or Lady Whistledown herself) revealed in her interview that she would love to come back and have the producers explore her character more. We think all the viewers want the same since there are so many questions about her being Lady Whistledown and how that came about. We do think that Eloise and Penelope’s relationship will change quite a bit since they were the bets of pals and Penelope hid a big part of who she is from her.
Should We Expect 8 Seasons of Bridgerton ?
Bridgerton creator, Chris Van Dusen revealed that he has big plans for the future. Since there are 8 books that make up the series, he wants all 8 seasons to be created.
So, are you excited to hear that the hottest Netflix show may be coming back for a new season?
